Before surgery
During the pre-anesthesia consultation, he checks your preoperative assessments (blood tests, electrocardiogram, ...) and takes into account your current medical treatments or any allergies, and validates the absence of contraindications to the practice of anesthesia during the procedure.
During the procedure
He sets up and controls the anesthesia and monitors your constants (breathing, heart rate ...) throughout the duration of the procedure.
After surgery
In the "recovery room", he monitors your recovery and determines when you can return to your room.
For surgical suites, he also oversees the management of your pain and your medical evolution, and establishes the exit requirements.
