Osteotomy is a surgical procedure aimed at reorienting a bone in a more anatomical axis.
The DMMO procedure involves percutaneous surgery, which consists of performing the operative gestures by mini incisions and under radiographic control.
The surgeon will make an incision (osteotomy) at the level of the metatarsal (s) whose deformation will be corrected.
The operation does not usually require the installation of any screws or spindles. Bone consolidation is natural and stimulated by support and walking with a suitable shoe.
